SAFE-CARE
Cookie policy
This Cookie Policy explains how HOPn (Weichterstr. 1, 86807 Buchloe, Germany), as the provider of the SAFE-CARE project, uses cookies and similar technologies on this website. Contact: info@hopn.eu. Provider details: Imprint.
What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and scripts that store or read information on your device. Together they help a site remember preferences, keep sessions secure, or — after consent — measure usage.
Legal framework
We process cookie-related data in line with the GDPR and applicable ePrivacy rules. Strictly necessary cookies (or equivalent storage) required to provide a service you request may be used without consent. Non-essential cookies (for example analytics) are only used with your prior consent where required.
Cookies and storage we use
- Language (essential) — Cookie
locale. Purpose: remember your language choice (DE/EN). Duration: 12 months. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) lit. b or lit. f GDPR (requested service / legitimate interest in working language switching). - Session and security (essential) — Session cookie (typically
safe-care-session) and CSRF cookieXSRF-TOKEN. Purpose: operate forms, pre-orders, and protect against cross-site request forgery. Duration: session, or according to the Laravel session lifetime (default 120 minutes of inactivity). - Cookie consent (essential) — Local storage key
sc_cookie. Purpose: remember whether you accepted essential-only or optional technologies so the banner does not reappear on every visit. Duration: until you clear site data. - Hosting / security (server-side) — Our hosting provider may process technical logs (for example IP address, browser type, timestamp) and may set strictly necessary cookies required to deliver the site securely.
- Optional analytics — No analytics service is currently active. If a service (for example Plausible) is configured later, it will load only after you choose “Accept optional” in the banner.
We do not currently set advertising, social-media, or third-party marketing cookies.
How long we keep cookie data
Local storage preferences remain on your device until you delete them. Hosting logs are retained only as long as needed for security and operations, then deleted or anonymised as described in the Privacy policy.
Managing and refusing cookies
You can clear cookies and site data, or block storage, in your browser settings. Disabling storage may reset language preference, forms, or the cookie banner. Browser help pages typically explain cookie controls under Privacy, Security, or Site settings.
Your rights
Where cookie use involves personal data, you may have GDPR rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact info@hopn.eu.
